Types¶
The type management enables standardized classification of inventories. A type consolidates recurring properties and thus simplifies the creation and management of similar devices.
What is a Type?¶
A type describes a unique combination of:
- Manufacturer
- Model
Alternatively, combinations such as Measurement Range + Accuracy are also possible (e.g., for physical measuring instruments).
Additionally, a type can contain the following information:
- Measuring instrument descriptions
- Test standards
- Test tasks
- Prices
- Test procedures (procedure templates)
- Specifications (manual or via ACC import)
Type Overview¶
The type overview can be accessed via Inventory --> Manage Types.
The overview contains the following columns (configurable via field management):
- Type Name
- Device Type (e.g., Electrical, Physical)
- Manufacturer / Category
- Model / Measurement Range + Accuracy
- Measuring Instrument Description
- Article Number
- Test Standard
- Test Task
Grid Actions¶
The following functions are available via the action menu of each row:
- Inventory List: Displays all devices assigned to this type.
- View: Opens the type detail view.
- Edit: Edits the type information.
- Delete: Deletes the type, provided no inventory is linked.
Create Type¶
Manual Creation¶
- Click on Actions --> New Type.
- Fill in the input form.
- Click on Save.
The following fields are available:
